Goulston & Storrs is a full-service law firm with nearly 250 attorneys across Boston, New York, and Washington, DC. We are widely recognized for our strengths in real estate, corporate, litigation, private client, and tax, and for delivering practical solutions that reflect a deep understanding of our clients’ businesses and goals.
Our collaborative model ensures that clients benefit from the insights, creativity, and judgment of the entire firm. By building significant knowledge of our clients’ industries and objectives, we deliver tailored, cost-effective strategies to help them navigate complex issues and capture new opportunities.
Clients turn to us not only for our legal acumen, but also for the way we work—with integrity, responsiveness, and genuine commitment. We combine the accessibility and personal attention of a boutique with the resources and sophistication of an Am Law 50 firm.
Many of our client relationships span decades, grounded in mutual respect, transparency, and results that matter.
Celebrating 125 Years
What began in 1900 at 17 Milk Street in Boston—Ben Franklin’s birthplace—has evolved into a nationally recognized law firm of nearly 250 attorneys and more than 200 professional staff. Founded by Edward Selmar Goulston and Leslie K. Storrs, we’re known for our depth in real estate, corporate, litigation, private client, tax, bankruptcy, and environmental law—and for a culture that prizes collaboration, integrity, and client success above all else.
Alumni
At Goulston & Storrs, the spirit of partnership extends beyond tenure. Goulston Connect is our network for current and former attorneys and professionals—a place to stay connected, share opportunities, and continue the relationships built here.
Inclusion & Community Building
At Goulston & Storrs, equity and inclusion aren’t buzzwords—they’re part of how we think, lead, and build relationships. When people with different lived experiences come together, we ask better questions, challenge assumptions, and create smarter solutions.
Pro Bono
Goulston & Storrs has proudly provided pro bono legal services since 1900. Our founding attorneys committed to doing this work when few commercial law firms did, boldly taking on many indigent and sometimes unpopular clients to defend their civil rights and liberties.
